Privacy notice
How we use the personal data you give us on beatoquarter.com: in the enquiry form, in the Beato Assistant chat and in the messages that follow.
Who we are
Beato Lux, S.A., NIF 514869755, with registered office at Rua Mestre Martins Correia, n.º 2I, Escritório 9, 1050-908 Lisboa, is responsible for your personal data (the controller).
For any question about your data, write to sales@beatoquarter.com. No data protection officer has been designated.
The data we collect
- When you send an enquiry, by the form or from the chat: your name, e-mail address and preferred language; if you choose to give them, a phone or WhatsApp number, how you prefer to be contacted and the details you add (the homes that interest you, typology, purpose, timing, whether you have visited Beato, a budget band and a message); the permissions you give, with their exact wording, version, language and time; and the page you sent it from.
- When you use the Beato Assistant: your messages, its answers, the page you are on and the time of each message.
- When you visit the site: the technical data every website receives, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages requested.
Only your name and e-mail address are needed to answer an enquiry; everything else is optional. Please do not share sensitive information, such as health data, identity numbers or bank details.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- Answering your enquiry and arranging a visit
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you tick the permission to be contacted by e-mail
- Answering your questions in the Beato Assistant and passing your request to our team
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you start the conversation
- Contacting you by WhatsApp or phone
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), only if you tick that permission
- Sending you occasional news about Beato Quarter
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and art. 13.º-A of Portuguese Law 41/2004), only if you tick that permission. It is separate and optional: you can send an enquiry without it, and unsubscribe at any time
- Keeping a record of the permissions you gave or withdrew
- Our legal obligation to be able to show your consent (Art. 6(1)(c) and Art. 7(1))
- Keeping the site and the chat secure, preventing abuse and defending legal claims
- Our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))
You can withdraw any consent at any time by writing to sales@beatoquarter.com. This does not affect what was done before you withdrew it.
The Beato Assistant
The Beato Assistant is an artificial intelligence assistant, not a person. It answers from information about Beato Quarter that we have approved; its answers are for information only and are not an offer. Before your message reaches the AI model, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, tax numbers, bank account numbers and card numbers in it are masked. Our team may read a conversation to follow up your request. We take no decision about you based solely on automated processing. If you prefer, use the enquiry form instead.
Who receives your data
- Our sales team, to answer you and arrange visits.
- Our website and CRM provider, acting on our instructions, under a data-processing agreement with us, and the service providers it uses for us: cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), the AI model behind the Beato Assistant (which receives masked text only) and the e-mail service that alerts our team to a new enquiry.
- WhatsApp, if you ask us to contact you that way; it handles the messages under its own terms.
- Google, only if you choose to open the interactive map, as an independent controller.
- Public authorities, only when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
Where your data is stored
Enquiries and conversations are stored and processed by Amazon Web Services in its us-east-1 region, in the United States, where this website also runs. Some of the other providers above are in the United States too. These transfers outside the European Economic Area are made under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for a copy at sales@beatoquarter.com.
How long we keep it
- Your enquiry and the record of our contact with you
- 24 months after your enquiry or our last contact with you, whichever is later; then deleted
- Beato Assistant conversations
- Up to 90 days; then deleted. If you send an enquiry from the chat, a short summary of the conversation stays with the enquiry
- Records of the permissions you gave or withdrew
- As long as we need them to show that we respected your choices
- The website’s server logs
- 30 days
- If you buy a home
- The periods the law requires, for example for tax and accounting
Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data and a copy of it, and for its correction, erasure or restriction. You may object to its use based on our legitimate interest, receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, and withdraw any consent. Write to sales@beatoquarter.com. We answer within one month, free of charge, and may ask you to confirm your identity.
You may also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134, 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, www.cnpd.pt, or to the authority where you live or work.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we publish the new version here with its date.
